Ultraviolet A Radiation (UVA)

Target
UVA
Molecular classification
Electromagnetic radiation
01

Overview

Ultraviolet A (UVA) radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength of 320–400 nm. It penetrates deeply into the skin, causing indirect DNA damage through the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to photoaging, increased skin cancer risk, eye damage, and immune suppression. It is not considered a therapeutic target.
