The lead small molecule candidate targeting this protein, Era-379, is an oral agent designed to suppress appetite and reduce body weight (Stifel, 2025). In 2024, Novo Nordisk acquired the rights to this program, positioning it as a potential next-generation treatment in the rapidly evolving obesity market (PitchBook, 2024).
