Target intelligence / Profile preview
UQCR10 pseudogene 1 (UQCR10P1) is a human pseudogene located on the X chromosome[11]. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to known genes but are nonfunctional; they may arise from gene duplication or retrotransposition but lack the ability to encode active protein products due to mutations, truncations, or regulatory defects. There is no evidence that UQCR10P1 is transcribed or translated, and it does not participate in mitochondrial electron transport. It is not recognized as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or disease gene according to standard reference databases[11].
