Uracil-DNA glycosylase pseudogene 1" (UNGP1) refers to a *pseudogene* related to uracil-DNA glycosylase, an enzyme that excises uracil from DNA to prevent mutations[1][3]. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but are generally non-functional and do not produce active proteins.
