USP9Y pseudogene 16 (USP9YP16) is a human Y-chromosome pseudogene, classified and cataloged as a non-functional (non-protein-coding) member of the USP9Y gene family. Pseudogenes such as USP9YP16 are segments of DNA that resemble functional genes but have lost the ability to encode proteins, typically due to mutations or truncations. No evidence exists for protein expression, enzymatic activity, or involvement in signaling pathways or disease.
