The vascular endothelial cell injury pathway encompasses a complex array of signaling networks and cellular responses that result in damage to the endothelium, the inner lining of blood vessels. Key mechanisms include oxidative stress (OS), inflammation (often mediated by NF-κB, NLRP3, and PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling), mitochondrial dysfunction, and immune activation.
