Target intelligence / Profile preview
Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR1), also known as FLT1, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. It binds VEGF-A, VEGF-B, and PlGF, modulating endothelial cell function, monocyte migration, and differentiation. The receptor exists in full-length and soluble forms. sFlt-1 overexpression is implicated in preeclampsia. FLT1 is also involved in cancer progression and inflammatory diseases.
