VASH1 divergent transcript (VASH1-DT) is annotated as a non-coding RNA located in proximity to the Vasohibin 1 gene. The term "divergent transcript" typically refers to transcripts produced from regions adjacent to protein-coding genes, often running in the opposite direction, but does not indicate coding potential or functional activity[3]. There is no published evidence that VASH1-DT encodes a functional protein, acts as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter, or serves as a therapeutic target.
