The viral genome synthesis machinery refers to the collection of viral and, in some cases, host-derived proteins and complexes responsible for replicating the genetic material (RNA or DNA) of viruses during infection. This machinery is essential for producing new copies of the viral genome, enabling progeny virus production and propagation within a host.
