Vomeronasal 1 receptor 32 pseudogene (VN1R32P)

Target
VN1R32P
Molecular classification
Pseudogene, Putative G protein-coupled receptor family (based on ancestral family)

Overview

Vomeronasal 1 receptor 32 pseudogene (VN1R32P) is a human pseudogene related to the vomeronasal 1 receptor gene family. Vomeronasal receptors, such as V1Rs, are G protein-coupled receptors involved in pheromone detection in other mammals, but this gene is a non-functional sequence in humans and does not produce a functional protein. There is no known biological activity, disease involvement, or therapeutic relevance for this pseudogene in humans[3][5][7].
