Vomeronasal 1 receptor 64 pseudogene (VN1R64P) is a human pseudogene in the vomeronasal type 1 receptor gene family[3][5]. While functional vomeronasal 1 receptors are G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) involved in pheromone detection in other species[7], VN1R64P is classified as a pseudogene in humans and does not encode a functional protein[3]. It is notably expressed in the testis, but there is no evidence for any biological function, disease relevance, or therapeutic targeting associated with this gene[3]. VN1R64P is not considered a therapeutic target, and there are no known drugs, mechanisms of action, or safety concerns related to this pseudogene[3][2].
