Vomeronasal 1 receptor 69 pseudogene (VN1R69P) is a human gene classified as a pseudogene, meaning it shares sequence similarity with genes encoding functional members of the vomeronasal 1 receptor family but is not believed to encode a functional protein or play a direct biological role in humans[7][11][13]. Vomeronasal 1 receptors, in general, are part of the pheromone-sensing G protein-coupled receptor superfamily primarily found in the vomeronasal organ of many vertebrates, but in humans most are pseudogenized and are not functional[12]. VN1R69P does not have any established therapeutic relevance, disease association, or pharmacological interactions, and is not considered a target for drug discovery[11][13].
