Target intelligence / Profile preview
Vomeronasal 1 receptor 70 pseudogene (VN1R70P) is a processed pseudogene found on human chromosome 16 (16p11.1)[1][3][9][10][11]. It represents a non-functional genomic relic of the vomeronasal 1 receptor family, which in other species encodes G protein-coupled receptors involved in pheromone detection, but this human locus does not produce a functional protein and is not biologically active as a receptor[1][3][11]. It is not considered a therapeutic target, has no known biological function, and is not implicated in disease or drug interactions.
