WAS protein family homolog 4 pseudogene (WASH4P) is a human pseudogene related to the Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome protein (WASP) family[2][3][5]. As a pseudogene, it is not expected to encode a functional protein product. Sequence analysis predicts possible alpha- and gamma-tubulin binding activities, but these are not experimentally validated and most databases classify WASH4P as non-coding. It is part of the genome’s WASP-related duplication family and is commonly listed in genomic and transcriptomic studies, but does not have proven functional or therapeutic relevance. Commercial vendors may offer gene knockdown reagents for WASH4P, mainly for exploratory research. No disease association, drug interaction, biomarker role, or safety concern is established for this locus.
