Target intelligence / Profile preview
WASF3 antisense RNA 1 (WASF3-AS1) is a putative long non-coding RNA transcribed from the antisense strand near the WASF3 gene locus. It is distinct from the protein-coding WASF3, which encodes a protein involved in actin cytoskeleton dynamics and is associated with cell motility and cancer metastasis. However, WASF3-AS1 itself is not characterized as a therapeutic molecular target, and there is almost no literature describing its structure, function, or disease relevance. Most research instead focuses on the WASF3 protein, not the antisense RNA.
