Target intelligence / Profile preview
WD repeat-containing protein 27 (WDR27) is a protein containing multiple WD repeat domains that typically mediate the formation of protein-protein interaction scaffolds and may play key roles in cell signalling pathways. The gene exhibits widespread cytoplasmic and nuclear expression in several tissues, and alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants. Although WDR27 has various associations in biological datasets and limited disease links (including some forms of dysplasia and possible roles in cancer from expression or mutation data), there is no evidence currently supporting its classification as a direct therapeutic target or druggable protein.
