Target intelligence / Profile preview
WD repeat domain 47 (WDR47) is a cytoskeletal-associated protein containing multiple WD repeats, encoded by the human *WDR47* gene located on chromosome 1. It is predicted to play roles in neuronal stem cell maintenance, brain development (especially telencephalon), and sensory processes like thermal detection, primarily via associations with microtubules and protein complexes. WDR47 has been implicated in certain neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. There is currently no evidence that WDR47 serves as a direct therapeutic target or that there are drugs in clinical use directly modulating its function.
