Wound bed tissue regeneration via autologous cell engraftment refers to the therapeutic strategy of applying a patient’s own (autologous) cells directly to a wound site to accelerate and enhance the healing process. This approach leverages various cell types—most commonly fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and stem/progenitor cells—harvested from the patient, which are then processed and reintroduced into the wound environment.
