The skin healing process, commonly termed wound healing or cutaneous repair, is an orchestrated series of biological events that restore skin integrity following injury. It proceeds through classical phases: hemostasis (clot formation), inflammation, proliferation (including cell migration and proliferation, new tissue and matrix deposition, angiogenesis), and tissue remodeling, culminating in resolution or scar formation.
