Target intelligence / Profile preview
WWC3 antisense RNA 1 (WWC3-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene annotated in multiple gene resources as an antisense lncRNA[1][3]. Antisense lncRNAs, such as WWC3-AS1, regulate the expression of protein-coding genes through various mechanisms, including transcriptional interference, chromatin remodeling, and RNA–RNA interactions[2][5]. The specific biological function of WWC3-AS1 has not been experimentally characterized, but, by analogy to other antisense lncRNAs, it may participate in modulating gene expression of its sense counterpart or nearby genes. No known diseases or drugs have been directly linked to this lncRNA to date[1][3].
