XPOTP2 is a presumed human pseudogene that resembles the XPOT gene, which encodes Exportin-T—a protein mediating the export of tRNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm[1][3]. As a pseudogene, XPOTP2 is not known to produce a functional protein, and there is no evidence it acts as a receptor, enzyme, or other therapeutic target. Pseudogenes like XPOTP2 may sometimes have roles in post-transcriptional regulation or as sources of non-coding RNAs, but no such function has been reported for XPOTP2. Therefore, XPOTP2 is not considered a druggable or biologically active target[2][4][6][7]. XPOTP2 is a noncoding pseudogene with no established function, drug interactions, or disease associations; it should not be considered a therapeutic target. If your interest is in functionally active targets, search for XPOT (Exportin-T), not XPOTP2.
