Overview

YEATS2 antisense RNA 1 (YEATS2-AS1) is a human long noncoding RNA gene transcribed from the opposite strand of the YEATS2 locus on chromosome 3 (chr3:183,524,245-183,528,571, reverse strand). It does not encode a protein and instead belongs to the class of long noncoding RNAs, molecules increasingly recognized as regulatory elements in various biological processes. No established literature describes YEATS2-AS1 as a therapeutic target, nor are there validated functions, disease associations, drugs, or clinical biomarkers currently associated with this gene. Most available entries simply describe its genomic position and classification as a noncoding RNA. If you were looking for the protein YEATS2 (YEATS domain containing 2), that is a well-studied histone mark reader and epigenetic regulator with established roles in cancer biology and drug discovery; YEATS2-AS1 is its antisense RNA and should not be confused with it.
