The F1-V fusion antigen is a recombinant protein combining the F1 capsular antigen and the V antigen of Yersinia pestis. It is designed to induce a strong and broad immune response, including both humoral and cell-mediated immunity, against plague. It engages TLR2 signaling and elicits T-cell responses, leading to protective immunity against both bubonic and pneumonic forms of the disease. It is a promising target for next-generation anti-plague vaccines.
