Target intelligence / Profile preview
YES proto-oncogene 1 tyrosine kinase (YES1) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase and a member of the Src family kinases (SFKs). It plays critical roles in regulating cell growth, survival, apoptosis, cell-cell adhesion, cytoskeleton remodeling, and differentiation. YES1 has been implicated as an oncogenic driver, with overexpression or amplification promoting cancer cell proliferation, invasiveness, and resistance to therapy. It is a promising target for novel anti-cancer therapies, particularly for overcoming tumor therapy resistance.
Inhibition of YES1 kinase activity to overcome drug resistance and inhibit cancer cell proliferation/survival.
