Target intelligence / Profile preview
YES1 pseudogene 1 (YES1P1), also known as D22S670, is a pseudogene located on chromosome 22. It is a non-functional, non-protein-coding genomic sequence that shares homology with the functional YES1 gene, which encodes a Src family tyrosine kinase involved in cell growth and survival[1]. Unlike the functional YES1 gene, YES1P1 does not produce a protein and is not considered a biologically active molecule or therapeutic target[1]. There is no evidence for a physiological, pharmacological, or disease-related function for YES1P1 in the current biomedical literature.
