Ying-blood (营血) is a foundational physiological and pathological concept in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), primarily associated with the Four Levels (Wei-Qi-Ying-Xue) diagnostic framework for warm febrile diseases. Modern studies have identified that herbs targeting these syndromes often modulate cytokine-mediated signaling pathways, including the JAK/STAT and NF-kappaB cascades, to mitigate systemic inflammation and restore hematological homeostasis.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), therapeutic strategies for Ying-blood focus on clearing heat to protect Yin fluids, cooling the blood to prevent extravasation (bleeding), and nourishing the blood to restore nutritive essence.
