Target intelligence / Profile preview
YWHAQ pseudogene 8 (YWHAQP8) is a human pseudogene corresponding to the functional YWHAQ gene, which encodes the 14-3-3 protein theta. Pseudogenes are generally considered nonfunctional genomic sequences related to known genes but are typically not translated into functional proteins. There is no evidence that YWHAQP8 produces a protein, has therapeutic relevance, or is involved in any known biological or disease processes. Thus, it is not regarded as a viable therapeutic target or biomarker.
