Overview

Zinc finger and BTB domain containing 45 pseudogene 1 (ZBTB45P1) is a human pseudogene located in the genome, belonging to the family of zinc finger and BTB/POZ domain-containing sequences[1][3][7]. Unlike its protein-coding paralog ZBTB45, which encodes a probable transcriptional regulator protein, ZBTB45P1 is presumed non-functional at the protein level and does not encode a protein product[7]. There is currently no evidence that ZBTB45P1 is expressed or plays a direct regulatory or disease role. It is not recognized as a therapeutic target, nor are there drugs, biomarkers, or safety concerns associated with it[1][7]. Some pseudogenes, in general, can act as regulatory non-coding RNAs or influence disease via RNA transcripts, but no such function is established for ZBTB45P1 at this time[2][7].

02

Biological functions

Other (No protein product; typical pseudogenes may have regulatory non-coding RNA roles, but none is currently assigned to ZBTB45P1)
03

Disease associations

Other (No established disease role or biomarker use reported for ZBTB45P1; some pseudogenes are linked to cancer or act as regulatory RNAs, but ZBTB45P1 is not specifically implicated)
