Zinc finger CCCH-type containing 6 (ZC3H6) is a member of the zinc finger protein family featuring CCCH-type domains, characterized by one histidine and three cysteine residues[4][5]. This protein is predicted to bind RNA and zinc ions and is thought to act as a negative regulator of DNA-templated transcription within the nucleus[1][2]. Proteins with CCCH-type zinc finger domains are generally involved in post‐transcriptional gene regulation, often through interaction with RNA, but ZC3H6's specific cellular biological functions remain to be fully elucidated. Current data do not support its role as a direct therapeutic target, biomarker, or safety concern, and no direct drug interactions are reported. ZC3H6 has some described associations with syndromes involving chromosomal copy number variation but no established causal or actionable disease link[2].
