It shares sequence similarity with the protein-coding gene ZNHIT1, which encodes a member of the zinc finger HIT-type protein family involved in chromatin remodeling and gene regulation[6]. However, as a pseudogene, ZNHIT1P1 does **not encode a functional protein**, has no known biological activity, and is not regarded as a drug target, disease gene, or biomarker[2][3][4][7]. There is currently no evidence in scientific literature or reference databases supporting therapeutic relevance, mechanism of action, or disease association for this pseudogene.
