Zinc finger protein 124 pseudogene (LOC100419913, ENSG00000273675) is a human gene classified as a pseudogene. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but typically nonfunctional; they arise from gene duplication or retrotransposition and usually lack the capability to encode a functional protein. This pseudogene shares sequence similarity with the coding gene *ZNF124*, which encodes a Kruppel-type C2H2 zinc finger transcription factor[5][1]. However, the pseudogene itself does not produce a functional protein and has no direct biological role, therapeutic relevance, or documented interactions.
