Zinc finger protein 165 is a member of the Kruppel family of zinc finger transcription factors, containing five conserved C2H2-type zinc-finger motifs and an N-terminal acidic SCAN domain[1][6][7]. It is primarily expressed in the testis but is found at low levels in other tissues and aberrantly reactivated in several cancers, where it acts as a cancer/testis antigen[1].
