Zinc finger protein 20 (ZNF20)

Target
ZNF20
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein (specifically C2H2-type)
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 20 (ZNF20) is a member of the zinc finger protein family, particularly the C2H2-type subclass that contains finger-like domains stabilized by zinc ions[2][4][1]. It is predicted to function as a DNA-binding transcription factor, regulating transcription by RNA polymerase II, and is active in the nucleus[2][6]. As with other zinc finger proteins, it may play broader roles in cell differentiation, embryonic development, and other cellular processes, but no evidence currently supports its role as a distinct druggable target, biomarker, or clinical receptor[2][3][5][7].
