Zinc finger protein 211 (ZNF211) is a protein encoded by the ZNF211 gene in humans and contains both a Kruppel-associated box (KRAB) domain and multiple C2H2-type zinc finger domains. These features classify it as a likely transcription factor, a type of protein involved in regulating gene expression through sequence-specific binding to DNA. Although its detailed biological functions remain uncharacterized, it may play roles in transcriptional regulation and developmental processes. As part of the very large zinc finger protein family, ZNF211 is involved in fundamental cellular activities such as DNA binding and potentially chromatin remodeling, but there is currently no evidence showing it is a direct disease driver, therapeutic target, or druggable protein.
