Zinc finger protein 214 (ZNF214) is a protein encoded by the ZNF214 gene, which is located predominantly in the testis and includes an N-terminal Kruppel-associated box A (KRABA) domain and twelve zinc finger domains[1][3][8][9][13]. ZNF214 is thought to be involved in the transcriptional regulation of gene expression by binding DNA, consistent with its family as a C2H2-type zinc finger protein[5][10][15]. The gene is located at chromosome 11p15.4, within a region associated with Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWSCR2), implicating it in this overgrowth disorder and potentially other diseases[1][4][13]. There is currently no substantial evidence that ZNF214 is a direct therapeutic target, nor are there approved drugs documented to interact with it[1][15].
