Zinc finger protein 229 (ZNF229)

Target
ZNF229
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein, Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 229 (ZNF229) is a member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family and acts as a transcription factor involved in the regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II through DNA binding and zinc ion binding[1][2][4][9]. It is localized to the nucleus and may play a role in regulating gene expression; however, there is no evidence currently that ZNF229 is a direct therapeutic target or is associated with specific diseases[1][9].
