Zinc finger protein 25 (ZNF25)

Target
ZNF25
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 25 is a member of the zinc finger protein family and is predicted to function as a DNA-binding transcription factor, possibly involved in the regulation of gene expression by RNA polymerase II. It contains characteristic zinc finger motifs, which typically mediate interactions with DNA and are common among transcriptional regulators. There is some evidence associating ZNF25 with differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells to osteoblasts, suggesting a developmental role, but its full biological significance, involvement in disease, and utility as a therapeutic target are not well established[1][2][3][6][7][8].
