Zinc finger protein 264 is a member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, and may be involved in transcriptional regulation through its DNA-binding activity. It is localized in the nucleus and expressed in various human tissues, including the kidney, thymus, testis, ovary, brain, lung, placenta, and prostate, with lower expression in heart, liver, and skeletal muscle. There is no evidence it functions as a therapeutic target or that it has direct relevance to drug interactions or disease, beyond its general role in gene regulation.
