Zinc finger protein 273 (ZNF273)

Target
ZNF273
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, C2H2-type zinc finger protein

Overview

Zinc finger protein 273 (ZNF273) is a nuclear protein belonging to the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc finger family and contains 13 C2H2-type zinc finger domains along with a KRAB domain[5][8][9]. It is believed to participate in the regulation of transcription, likely functioning as a DNA-binding transcription factor by interacting with specific DNA sequences to influence gene expression[4][6]. There is currently no direct evidence linking ZNF273 to specific disease processes, biomarker roles, or therapeutic target status in the literature, nor are there known drug interactions or safety concerns specific to this protein. Its primary role appears to be as a general transcriptional regulator, consistent with the functions of many zinc finger proteins in human biology[2][6][8][9].
