Zinc finger protein 3 (ZNF3)

Target
ZNF3
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein, C2H2-type zinc finger
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 3 (ZNF3) is a member of the C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factor family that enables DNA binding and identical protein binding activity; it is predicted to regulate transcription by RNA polymerase II and is primarily active in the nucleus. ZNF3 is implicated in cell differentiation and proliferation. Diseases genetically associated with alterations in ZNF3 include certain bleeding disorders and maturity-onset diabetes of the young, though there is little evidence for direct targeting or therapeutic modulation of ZNF3 by drugs[1][3][9].
