Zinc finger protein 30 is a protein encoding gene in humans. It is a member of the zinc finger protein family and acts as a DNA-binding transcription factor, probably involved in the regulation of gene expression mediated by RNA polymerase II. ZNF30 proteins contain zinc finger domains which facilitate interaction with DNA, allowing transcriptional regulation. ZNF30 is predicted to be nuclear and has paralogs such as ZNF540. Genetic variations at the ZNF30 locus are associated with certain chromosome deletion syndromes and neurogenic disorders.
