Overview

Zinc finger protein 311 (ZNF311) is a human protein encoded by the ZNF311 gene, located on chromosome 6. It is predicted to function as a DNA-binding transcription factor, involved in the regulation of gene expression by RNA polymerase II, through sequence-specific DNA binding in cis-regulatory regions. There is evidence suggesting a potential role as a prognostic biomarker in glioma, but direct links to therapeutic targeting or specific drugs have not been established. ZNF311 is primarily localized to the nucleus, and is expressed in various tissues, including the central nervous system and reproductive epithelia[1][2][5][7][8].
