Zinc finger protein 316 (ZNF316) is a human protein encoded by the ZNF316 gene located on chromosome 7. It is predicted to be a DNA-binding transcription factor that regulates gene expression through sequence-specific DNA binding and may act in the nucleus in concert with RNA polymerase II. ZNF316 belongs to the C2H2-type zinc finger protein family—the largest family of transcription factors in the human genome—known for their roles in numerous cellular processes including gene regulation, development, apoptosis, and immune responses.
