Zinc finger protein 319 (ZNF319) is a human protein encoded by the ZNF319 gene located on chromosome 16. It belongs to the large family of zinc finger proteins characterized by the presence of zinc finger motifs, most commonly of the C2H2-type, which facilitate DNA binding and enable the protein to function as a transcription factor. ZNF319 is predicted to participate in the regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II and is likely active within the cell nucleus. There is currently no evidence describing it as a direct therapeutic target (such as a drug receptor, enzyme, transporter, etc.), nor are there known drug interactions, mechanisms of pharmacological action, or biomarker roles reported for this protein. It may be associated with rare genetic syndromes, but its disease relevance and precise molecular functions remain incompletely characterized.
