Zinc finger protein 32 (ZNF32), also known as KOX30, is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes a member of the C2H2 zinc finger transcription factor family. It is predicted to bind DNA in a sequence-specific manner and to regulate transcription by RNA polymerase II[3][8]. Structural studies have determined the solution structures of specific zinc finger domains within this protein[1][2]. The protein is localized to the nucleus[3] and has been shown to act as an autophagy inhibitor in breast cancer cells, protecting them from stimulus-induced cell death[7]. ZNF32 is associated with the disease granulomatous orchitis[3]. There is currently no direct evidence in the provided literature that ZNF32 is a therapeutic target or that there are drugs known to interact with it.
