Zinc finger protein 329 (ZNF329)

Target
ZNF329
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 329 (ZNF329) is a member of the zinc finger protein family, which consists of diverse transcription factors characterized by the presence of zinc finger domains capable of binding DNA and regulating gene expression. ZNF329 is predicted to function as a DNA-binding transcription activator, interacting with RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory regions to modulate transcription. There is currently limited information on the tissue-specific expression, physiological roles, or implications in disease for ZNF329. Unlike some other zinc finger proteins, ZNF329 has not been directly implicated in specific pathologies nor identified as a direct therapeutic target. The zinc finger family as a whole participates in cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and diverse regulatory pathways in health and disease.
