Zinc finger protein 334 (ZNF334)

Target
ZNF334
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein (C2H2-type), Kruppel-associated box (KRAB) domain protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 334 (ZNF334) is a member of the C2H2 zinc finger family and contains a Kruppel-associated box domain, fourteen C2H2 zinc finger domains, and four C2H2-type/integrase DNA-binding domains[1][5]. It is primarily involved in transcriptional regulation as a DNA-binding transcription factor, mediating gene expression through interaction with nucleic acids[1][2][5][6]. Decreased expression of ZNF334 may serve as a biomarker for rheumatoid arthritis, and promoter methylation has been linked to the growth and development of cancers such as colorectal cancer[1][4]. There are currently no known approved drugs that specifically target ZNF334, and its role as a direct therapeutic target is not established in the literature[1][4][5].
