Overview

Zinc finger protein 337 (ZNF337) is a protein containing multiple zinc finger motifs and is encoded by the ZNF337 gene on human chromosome 20p11.21. It functions as a putative transcription factor, likely involved in DNA binding and the regulation of transcription, though its precise functional roles remain unclear. ZNF337 is aberrantly expressed in multiple human cancer types, including kidney renal clear cell carcinoma, where high expression is associated with poor prognosis and increased cellular proliferation and migration. It contains KRAB, PHD, and several C2H2-type zinc finger domains, and exhibits several predicted post-translational modifications. While it has been implicated as a prognostic biomarker for several cancers, there are currently no known drugs that specifically target ZNF337[1][2][3].
