Zinc finger protein 341 (ZNF341)

Target
ZNF341
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein, C2H2-type zinc-finger domain-containing protein

Overview

Zinc finger protein 341 (ZNF341) is a C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factor that binds to specific DNA sequences and activates the transcription of the STAT3 gene and potentially other immune-related genes[2][7]. This regulation is crucial for maintaining immune homeostasis, especially for the differentiation and function of T helper 17 (Th17) cells and B cells. Biallelic mutations in ZNF341 lead to an autosomal recessive form of hyper-IgE syndrome (HIES), characterized by chronic infections and immune dysregulation similar to that seen with STAT3 deficiency[1][2][5]. ZNF341 is located on human chromosome 20.
