Zinc finger protein 35 (ZNF35)

Target
ZNF35
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein, DNA-binding protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 35 (ZNF35) is a human protein encoded by the ZNF35 gene, located on chromosome 3p21-p22[1][3][4]. It is a sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factor, containing 11 zinc finger domains in its C-terminal region, and functions as a transcriptional transactivator[1][2][5]. Its gene locus is in a chromosomal region often deleted in small cell lung and renal carcinomas, indicating possible roles in cancer biology, though direct evidence of its function as a therapeutic target is currently lacking[1].
